Are you looking to maximize the revenue from your ad units? You can now optimize pricing by setting eCPM floors for your ad units. Google has rolled out this update in the mediation group and as part of an A/B test. Setting an eCPM floor price ensures that it is the minimum price you would accept for your ad unit. Before you set an eCPM Floor, understand that this isn’t the guaranteed minimum amount that you would get for the ad unit. If you set your eCPM floor too high, your fill rate will suffer; setting it too low will impact your ad revenue.
Here is how you set up eCPM floor for mediation groups in Google Admob.
Follow these steps to set an eCPM floor for your ad unit in a mediation group.

- Sign into your AdMob account
- Click Mediation in the side panel.
- Under “Mediation Group,” select the name of the mediation group for which you wish to set an eCPM floor.
- In the Bidding and Sources Table, click the edit button to set the eCPM floor for bidders.
- Toggle the switch to turn on the bidding eCPM floor setting.
- Enter the minimum eCPM for the auction.
- Click Save to lock the eCPM floor pricing.
Alternatively, you can also set the eCPM floor price in A/B test.
Google Admob’s eCPM floor feature supports the ability to A/B test different floor values. This is a great way to identify the best floor price for your inventory without risking your ad revenue potential. Test out different floor prices in a mediation group.

To A/B test the eCPM floor for a mediation group, follow these steps.
- Sign in to your Google AdMob account.
- Click Mediation in the sidebar
- Hover over the mediation group you want to A/B test eCPM floor prices on and click the menu icon. Click Set up A/B test.
- In “Variant B” Bidding Ad Sources, click the edit button to set the eCPM floor price.
- Click the toggle to enable bidding eCPM floor setting
- Enter an eCPM floor value to test it out.
- Click Save.
By setting the eCPM floor pricing, you can ensure that it is the minimum price at which your inventory is offered to advertisers.
